This policy applies to all products built and maintained by Smored LLC, including SmoredBoard, SmoredBoard Pro, and our website (smoredboard.com).

• Identity and Access: When you sign up for SmoredBoard, we ask for identifying information such as your email address. That’s so you can identify your account, track subscriptions, and so we can send you essential information, like updates about your subscription.

• Billing Information: If you sign up for SmoredBoard Pro, you will be asked to provide your payment information and billing address. This information is securely processed by a third party, and credit card information is never stored on our servers. We store a record of your payment transactions for account history, invoicing, and billing support.

• General Geolocation Data: We may collect and log the IP address used to access your account for security and fraud prevention purposes.

• Website Data Collection: When you visit our website, we may collect information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, and pages visited for analytics and to improve our services. We may also use cookies to enhance your browsing experience.

When you sign up for a SmoredBoard account, you agree to receive essential emails related to your account and subscription, such as updates, payment confirmations, and critical notifications.

You will also receive an email asking if you'd like to subscribe to promotional communications. Promotional emails may include updates, offers, and newsletters about SmoredBoard and SmoredBoard Pro. You will only receive promotional emails if you explicitly opt in by confirming your subscription through the email link.

 

You can opt out of promotional emails at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link provided in each promotional email.

How We Secure Your Data

Payment processing is managed by a PCI-compliant provider, and we do not store credit card details. Access to user data is restricted and controlled to prevent unauthorized access.

Data Retention
We retain your information as long as needed to provide the Services to you and fulfill our legal obligations. If you request to delete your account, your data is completely deleted from our systems.

Logging

Error Reporting:

In the event of an error or crash, logs may be sent to our servers for debugging purposes. These logs can include system information, as well as general location data to help us diagnose and resolve issues more effectively. These logs are automatically collected and are not associated with any specific account or system ID.

Automatic Logging & Diagnostics:
SmoredBoard may collect certain diagnostic and usage data automatically to help improve performance and troubleshoot issues. This may include application events, system environment details, error reports, logs, and general location data. Users can disable this auto logging at any time through the customization page of the SmoredBoard settings. If disabled, no further diagnostic data will be automatically collected. Logged data is securely stored and is not shared with third parties beyond essential service providers that assist in maintaining and improving the software.​ The SmoredBoard also includes a startup ping feature that sends a minimal request to our servers when the application is launched. This request contains only the PC name and the SmoredBoard version in use. The startup ping helps with service monitoring and analytics but does not track or associate data with specific users. Additionally, the startup ping can also be manually disabled in the customization page of the SmoredBoard settings, allowing users full control over these features.

Our website and products are operated in the United States. By using SmoredBoard, you consent to the transfer and storage of your data in the United States.

Limitation of Liability
While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no system is completely secure. By using SmoredBoard and our services, you acknowledge that you do so at your own risk.
We are not responsible for any unauthorized access, data breaches, or service disruptions beyond our control.
